Job Title: Athletic Trainer

Job Summary:

The Athletic Trainer is a vital member of the Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg team, responsible for providing top-notch sports medicine care to athletes. As a liaison between patients, medical staff, and coaches, this role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares athletes for practice or competition, ensuring they are physically ready to perform at their best.
  • Evaluates and manages injuries, determining whether a referral to a physician is necessary.
  • Maintains accurate medical records for each athlete, acting as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
  • Develops and implements treatment and rehabilitation programs under the supervision of a physician.
  • Creates conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to promote optimal performance and recovery.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a program in discipline, with a Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP), and Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).
  • NATA BOC Certification and licensure in the state of Tennessee.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, rotating weekends. The primary location is Tennessee-Lawrenceburg.
