Orthopaedic Technologist

OrthoCincy is seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic Technologist to join our team. As an Orthopaedic Technologist, you will play a vital role in assisting providers with patient care by preparing and applying casts and durable medical equipment.

• Apply and remove casts and fit durable medical equipment on patients.
• Use the cast saw safely and efficiently.
• Maintain adequate casting supplies and inspect equipment.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain patient information in electronic health records.
• Provide patient education and assist with health care delivery.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards.
• Ensure certifications are current and up to date.

• High school diploma.
• Registered/Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Orthopaedic Technician certification required or Athletic Trainer certification.
• Two to three years of previous clinical experience preferred.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.

• Knowledge of electronic health records and practice management systems.
• Knowledge of body mechanics and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong critical thinking and customer service skills.
• Ability to project a pleasant and professional image and use good reasoning and judgment.

Medical office and exam/procedure room settings.

Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques and lift up to 50 pounds.
