Job Title: Lowbed Driver

At Allan Myers, we are seeking a skilled Lowbed Driver to join our team. As a Lowbed Driver, you will be responsible for transporting large construction equipment and materials to customers or job site locations.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area.
  • Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy.
  • Communicate any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections on assigned vehicle in order to maintain maximum vehicle safety conditions.
  • Comply with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid class A Commercial Drivers License is required for Low bed, low boy.
  • Valid class B Commercial Drivers License is required for Tilt and flat bed.
  • In compliance with all DOT physical requirements.
  • Previous experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions.
  • Must have ability to work independently.
  • Must pass DOT physicals.
  • Skilled in loading, unloading Heavy Equipment.
  • Ability to maintain composure, professionalism in all situations.
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions to locations.
  • Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain a dump truck.
Work Environment:

Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
