Compensation: $19-21/hr | Shift: 1st 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Summary:

The Production Labeling Technician is a proficient operator responsible for managing machinery in the production environment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to perform tasks with precision. The technician will adhere to safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and will also be responsible for training new operators on machinery use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize an iPad to access our technology system for reporting issues and generating downtime reports.
  • Oversee the operation of the labeling machinery during production.
  • Conduct 5S duties and audits to maintain workplace organization.
  • Set up and operate labeling machines following established guidelines.
  • Interpret blueprints and diagrams to position and secure machinery effectively.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain product traceability through proper documentation and labeling.
  • Meet production schedules consistently.
  • Order and verify materials as needed.
  • Execute production orders according to specifications and standard practices.
  • Safely perform routine machine setup and changeovers.
  • Record necessary operating data, including downtime causes and performance metrics.
  • Inspect the final product for quality assurance.
  • Label and package finished products for distribution, adhering to customer specifications.
  • Ensure the work area is stocked with necessary packaging materials.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow procedures for handling hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • On-the-job training available.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a production facility required.
  • One year of experience in a technical service or quality assurance role preferred.
  • Ability to learn and utilize our technology system effectively.
