Job Title: Sanitation Technician

Volt is hiring a Sanitation Technician to join our team in Riverside, CA. As a Sanitation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment, machinery, and production areas to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste materials, including food waste, packaging materials, and cleaning supplies, in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Participate in training sessions on sanitation procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, climb, and work from ladders.
  • Exposure to cold temperatures while on the production floor and in other parts of the building.
  • Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Walking and climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Able to work night shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Basic understanding of Lock out Tag Out of equipment.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, dependable, and be able to fulfill obligations of the job.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial cleaning and sanitizing.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: $20.00-$22.00 per hour.
