Job Summary

As a CDL Driver at thyssenkrupp, you will play a critical role in delivering products to our customers in a timely and professional manner. You will represent our company in a positive light, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our trucks are properly maintained and secure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Products Safely and Efficiently: Ensure that products are delivered to customers on time and in good condition.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Represent thyssenkrupp in a positive manner, providing customers with quick, precise, helpful, courteous, and professional service.
  • Maintain Truck Safety and Security: Ensure that trucks are properly maintained and secure, performing regular inspections to prevent accidents and damage.
  • Assist with Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that products are properly secured and not overweight.
  • Protect Products from the Elements: Ensure that products are properly protected from the outdoor elements, such as rain, snow, and extreme temperatures.
  • Complete Paperwork and Reports: Complete all necessary paperwork and reports, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports.
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed.
  • Collect Payments and Provide Feedback: Collect payments from customers and provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems.
  • Participate in Lean and Quality Initiatives: Participate in activities related to lean and quality, including training and process improvement.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • CDL Class A and/or B License: A valid CDL class A and/or B license is required.
  • Ability to Lift Up to 70 Pounds: The ability to lift up to 70 pounds on a continuous basis is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 Years of Driving Experience: 3-5 years of driving experience is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

thyssenkrupp offers competitive compensation and benefits, including:

  • Hourly Rate: $25.02 per hour
  • Mileage Rate: 0.56 per mile for miles over 300
  • Additional Stop Pay: $24.35 per additional stop
