ABOUT THE SUPPORT SERVICES POSITION

We are currently seeking a Support Services Associate. This role involves delivering direct care to individuals with developmental and/or physical challenges. The responsibilities include providing tailored care and training in all designated areas.

  • Establishes and follows procedural goals and objectives
  • Documents and addresses all aspects of the individuals' needs, including personal hygiene
  • Ensures a safe, healthy, and clean environment while supervising individuals
  • Acts as an advocate at all times
  • Handles dietary responsibilities, including food preparation and cleanup
  • Manages laundry tasks, including personal clothing and linens
  • Conducts housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • May be assigned to various locations, which may differ from the initially scheduled site.

A high school diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of six months of experience in a direct support role within a group home environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry at least 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to bend and stretch as necessary
  • Must possess visual, auditory, and verbal communication skills, as well as manual dexterity

CREDENTIALS REQUIRED

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (may be required for certain locations and programs)
  • Clearances for abuse (may include child abuse clearances)
  • Criminal history clearance
  • FBI fingerprinting
  • TB screening and baseline testing (PPD or blood test) for some programs
  • Completion certification for Direct Care Staff Training Course and Competency for specific programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adheres to ATC policies and procedures.
• Complies with client policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding patient care and facility practices in line with HIPAA regulations.
• Effectively communicates relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Documents patient care as required by client policies and procedures.
• Follows the treatment plan assigned to each patient.
• Provides patient care in a respectful, non-discriminatory manner that acknowledges cultural diversity and age appropriateness, ensuring autonomy, rights, and dignity are upheld.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
