Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee to join our team in Park River, ND. As a trainee, you will be enrolled in a learning experience designed to develop your confidence and competence to serve as a caregiver that provides personal care to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner.
  • Work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in partnership with a preceptor to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, and transferring.
  • Document client care and communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.
  • Participate in the nursing team and adhere to location-specific standards for infection prevention and control, personal protective equipment use, safety, and privacy.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license.
