Job SummaryThe Nursing Assistant Trainee will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in partnership with a preceptor to provide holistic client-centered care that promotes independence and client rights in a safe, caring, and efficient manner. The trainee will be enrolled in a formal nursing assistant program and will be required to fulfill all training requirements in the designated timeframe.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care to clients, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, undressing, and obtaining vital signs.
- Assist clients with meals and snacks, and provide water and nutritional supplements as appropriate.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry services, and other duties as assigned.
- Communicate changes in client condition and care-related concerns to a licensed nurse.
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required. Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
