Job Summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill neonates and infants.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary medical management and emergency stabilization of critically ill neonates and infants
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and NICU team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Participate in daily rounds and contribute to the development of outcome measures
  • Provide education and support to families and healthcare teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical practices and technologies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification through the National Certification Corporation
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
  • Eligibility for limited prescriptive authority in Louisiana
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in neonatal care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
