Physician - Surgery, Trauma, Critical Care & Burn (Open Rank/ Track Faculty)
Job Summary:The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the Department of Surgery are seeking an academic Trauma, Critical Care, and Burn Surgeon to join their team. The position will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, and candidates must have completed a fellowship in surgical critical care.
Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality care to patients suffering from surgical critical illness, trauma, emergency general surgery diseases, and burns.
- Contribute to clinical care, research, and education related to patients with acute surgical problems.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary care model, including provider teams, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, dietitians, case managers, and social workers.
- Collaborate with intensivists, fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers to provide comprehensive care.
- Board Eligible or Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
- Successful completion of a trauma and surgical critical care or a burn and critical care fellowship.
- Burn Fellowship/Experience desired.
- Strong Academic Experience in basic science, translational or health services research.
- Eligible for State of Ohio medical licensure.
- Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
