Job Summary:The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a cardiac surgery faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with a cardiothoracic transplant focus to join the Department of Surgery.
Position Overview:The Department of Surgery, Division of Cardiac Surgery, at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in all aspects of adult cardiac surgery with a strong focus on cardiothoracic transplantation. Leadership opportunities may exist for the qualified candidate. This position will be located on the main campus of the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
Responsibilities:- Provide clinical care to patients undergoing adult cardiac surgery with a focus on cardiothoracic transplantation
- Participate in the education and training of residents and fellows in the Department of Surgery
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical and research programs in the Division of Cardiac Surgery
- Collaborate with other faculty members in the Department of Surgery to advance the mission of the college and the medical center
- ABTS certified or equivalent
- Qualify for an Ohio License
- Track record of clinical excellence with an interest in education and research
- Qualify for academic appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
