Customer Service Manager

SpartanNash is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Lead to join our team. As a key member of our front-end operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supervising and directing front-end activities, and ensuring that our store's front-end operations contribute to the financial best interests of the store.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately process all transactions, including cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT cards, and vendor coupons.
- Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled promptly and efficiently, with a focus on perishable items.
- Knowledgeable about product locations, advertised items, special prices, and coupon deals.
- Train and supervise others to perform all department activities and functions.
- Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels.
- Handle spoiled/damaged products according to established guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
- Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines.
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Proficient computer skills, including email and spreadsheets.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
- Accounting/Bookkeeping skills and ability to interpret and analyze financials.
- Develop and manage budgets, delegate, direct, and implement.
- Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
