About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process all transactions, including cash, checks, debit/credit/EBT cards, and vendor coupons.
  • Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled promptly and efficiently, with a focus on perishable items.
  • Knowledgeable about product locations, advertised items, special prices, and coupon deals.
  • Train and supervise others to perform all department activities and functions.
  • Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels.
  • Handle spoiled/damaged products according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department.
  • Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Proficient computer skills, including email and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping skills and ability to interpret and analyze financials.
  • Develop and manage budgets, delegate, direct, and implement.
  • Suggestive selling and knowledge of products.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
