Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial health and driving our company's financial operations.

Responsibilities

Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records.
Manage intercompany billings and charge billings, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
Calculate and book various accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist in monthly financial reporting, providing critical data to inform business decisions.
Administer budgets, working closely with various departments to ensure financial targets are met.
Conduct a detailed review of the accounts payable process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Resolve general accounts receivable issues, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure prompt payment.
Manage fixed assets, ensuring all assets are accurately accounted for and depreciated correctly.
Administer the company's credit card program, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
Provide direct support to the Controller, assisting with various tasks as needed.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry. A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is required, with a particular focus on month-end close, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, intercompany billings, charge billings, and accrual calculations. Proven experience with financial reporting, budget administration, accounts payable review, accounts receivable management, fixed asset management, and credit card program administration is also necessary. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work is required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively are also essential. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, are required. A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
