As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
  • Performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Managing intercompany billings and charge billings, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Calculating and booking various accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assisting in monthly financial reporting, providing critical data to inform business decisions.
  • Administering budgets, working closely with various departments to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Conducting a detailed review of the accounts payable process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Resolving general accounts receivable issues, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure prompt payment.
  • Managing fixed assets, ensuring all assets are accurately accounted for and depreciated correctly.
  • Administering the company's credit card program, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
  • Providing direct support to the Controller, assisting with various tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant role will have the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a particular focus on month-end close, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, intercompany billings, charge billings, and accrual calculations.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting, budget administration, accounts payable review, accounts receivable management, fixed asset management, and credit card program administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
