Magnetic Resonance Technologist Job Description

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Technologist to work at the Capitol Hill Medical Center in Washington, D.C. As a Magnetic Resonance Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures and providing patient care under the supervision of the Radiology Supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in MRI technology and be able to adjust routine to accommodate patient or department needs without affecting departmental flow. Additionally, you must be able to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and possess good oral and written communication skills.

The estimated salary for this position is $83,500 - $118,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. This is a regular full-time position with a call-in/on-call schedule that includes weekends.

In this role, you will perform tasks such as:

  • Effectively performs Diffusion studies, MR Angiograms, reformats, and MIP imaging
  • Identifies gross pathology in the human body and adjusts T1 and T2 scanning parameters
  • Reviews each examination for technical accuracy and presents completed examination to radiologist
