Job Summary: Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at the Capitol Hill Medical Center. About the Role: In this role, you will be working closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care. You will perform MRI examinations on patients of all ages, adjusting scanning parameters as needed to produce high-quality images. Your attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in ensuring the success of our imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI examinations of the brain, body, spine, and extremities on patients of all ages, selecting and modifying technical factors to enhance images.
  • Determine appropriate equipment for scanning and adjust parameters to minimize risk factors to self and patient.
  • Identify gross pathology in the human body and adjust T1 and T2 scanning parameters to provide pertinent information for interpretation.
  • Effectively use magnetic resonance and adjust parameters to minimize exposure to patient and self, following established protocols and techniques.

Requirements and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in radiologic technology and experience working with MRI equipment. A current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) is required. Additionally, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
