This Medical Interpreter role at Ochsner Health System is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. As a Medical Interpreter, you will provide accurate and timely interpretation services to facilitate effective communication between our patients and our healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide verbal and written interpretation services for patients, family members, and healthcare staff
  • Assist patients throughout their visit, from arrival to departure
  • Communicate medical terminology in both English and the required language
  • Maintain professional and cooperative relations with internal and external customers

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred - Two years of college or Interpreter certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and the required language
