Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective management of medications.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide immunizations and medication therapy management to patients
* Compound and dispense medications and other extemporaneous products for outpatients
* Review, interpret, and clarify prescriptions for accuracy
* Provide information on drugs, their characteristics, dosages, indications, adverse reactions, etc. to medical staff
* Oversee technical and clerical staff on a day-to-day basis as required in the preparations and delivery of medications

Requirements

* Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D) degree
* Experience working with standard pharmacy and office equipment
* Experience working in a Retail/Community Pharmacy
* Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Louisiana, or eligibility for licensure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
