Medical Laboratory Specialist

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Tech II to join its esteemed Laboratory Department.
Job Description:
The selected applicants will perform a wide range of tests, including waived, moderately and highly complex hematologic, chemical, immunohematologic, immunologic/serologic, microscopic, and microbiological tests on specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis or treatment of diseases.
Requirements:
- National certification as an MT/MLS/MLT by an approved agency (ASCP or AMT) is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years Lab Tech I or II experience is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or an Associate's degree in laboratory science from an accredited institution that includes successful completion of an approved clinical laboratory training program is required.
- In-depth knowledge of lab equipment, quality control methods, and report management is essential.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
