Maintenance Supervisor I

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with hospital goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure that maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Associate degree in a related field and 5 years of craft experience, or an equivalent combination of education and craft experience.
- Proven experience in maintenance supervision, with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- DOE "L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance.
- 4 or more years experience with electronics/troubleshooting background.
- Working knowledge of ANSI N323.
- Strong math background and ability to operate radiation/contamination detection instruments.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to hazardous materials and equipment. The ability to work in confined spaces, wear personal protective equipment, and operate heavy machinery is essential.

- The ability to obtain/maintain L or Q Clearance one year from hire date.
