Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing technical/maintenance planning support to the maintenance team. This includes planning daily maintenance work and long-term project work in an accurate and efficient manner. The Maintenance Planner will work in the SAP system to plan jobs for execution by the maintenance technicians, which includes preparing job packages and ordering parts for the specific job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant's safety goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business flow process.
  • Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work.
  • Purchase all vital parts, equipment, services, and documentation to perform the maintenance work.
  • Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality.
  • Builds, supports, and works in a team.
  • Review and distribute work, and determine progress of work and completion dates.
  • Compile reports of progress of work, inventory levels, cost, and production problems.
  • Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.
  • Communicate with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss necessary changes.
  • Communicate with personnel, vendors, and customers to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Owner of the KPI & 52-week plan in his area.
  • Provides leadership toward team development and participates in Green Room process improvement meetings.
  • Mentors other Technicians in technical and leadership skills.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability in related field.
