Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings, systems, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repair, and replacement of agency-owned and leased buildings, systems, equipment, and grounds.
  • Supervise the Maintenance Specialist, including recruitment, coaching, preparing reviews, and training.
  • Manage and procure new properties and/or renovations, ensuring compliance with purchasing guidelines and audit trails.
  • Recordkeeping for inspections, compliance, and inventory control.
  • Ensure a safe, trauma-informed environment for all staff and guests.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years' work experience in maintenance of buildings, systems, vehicles, safety, and risk management. A technical degree or certification in maintenance or a related field and 2+ years of supervisory experience are preferred. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent time and records management skills.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy objects (e.g., up to 50+ pounds).
  • Comfort working on elevated platforms, ladders, and scaffolding as necessary.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software, building automation software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with a reliable personal vehicle, required auto insurance limits, and an acceptable driving record.
