Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Saputo Cheese USA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maximize equipment uptime through a reliability-based maintenance program
  • Repair equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic) in the least amount of time when broken
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to avoid downtime
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Safety Methods and Procedures
  • Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis troubleshooting on equipment and processes
  • Welding, cutting, and fabricating
  • Communicate regularly with maintenance and other departments regarding equipment status
  • Complete work orders and parts usage accurately through maintenance management system
Requirements
  • Certificate or diploma from a trade school in a related field (highly preferred)
  • 1-3 years experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a manufacturing facility
  • Experience in the food industry (preferred)
  • Solid experience with repairs and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
  • Basic welding, cutting, acetylene torch, and braising capabilities
  • Intermediate experience in PLC and electronic troubleshooting (preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
