Job Overview

The primary objective of this role is to deliver comprehensive Desktop and Server Administration support.

This position involves assisting various offices and personnel with their technical needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide timely and professional technical assistance to end users.

2. Configure new employee workstations, including computers, access cards, telephones, and necessary applications.

3. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops and peripherals.

4. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot desktop operating systems and applications.

5. Manage and maintain desktop systems, including wiping, refreshing, and re-imaging PCs.

6. Oversee the network printer fleet, troubleshooting and escalating issues to vendors as needed.

7. Address basic issues with mission-critical applications.

8. Provide recommendations for software or hardware upgrades.

9. Troubleshoot basic voice and connectivity issues with telephones.

10. Ensure the organization’s IT security measures are upheld at all times.

11. Maintain thorough documentation of IT processes and procedures.

12. Cross-train on mailroom applications and serve as a backup for mail processing tasks.

13. Assist with routine mailroom operations as needed.

14. Participate in various IT-related projects.

Physical Requirements

1. The role requires regular sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and effective communication.

2. Occasional lifting, standing, and the use of safety-approved stools and ladders to access high areas may be necessary.

3. Heavy lifting (over 100 lbs) may be required for equipment and supplies.

4. A moderate amount of time will be spent on computer tasks, including typing and reviewing reports using various software tools.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Willingness to learn Powershell scripting and other automation tools.

2. Ability to cross-train and support staff in the mailroom and file room.

3. Openness to taking on expanded responsibilities related to server management.

4. Flexibility to travel to remote locations as necessary.

5. Availability to work after hours and on weekends when required.
