Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images and videos for diagnostic purposes.
  • Position patients and adjust equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient comfort.
  • Collaborate with radiologists to determine the best imaging techniques and protocols for each patient.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in quality control activities to ensure compliance with established safety standards and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Sonography.
  • 1 year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
  • Certified by Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS).
  • CPR certification.
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with established time constraints.
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
  • Ability to lift and/or move patients, with heavy lifting required occasionally.
