Position Summary:
GovCIO is actively seeking a Satellite Communications Project Coordinator. This role involves providing specialized knowledge for the deployment and setup of satellite communication systems within the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The coordinator will support the evaluation and oversight of AFCENT initiatives related to legacy tactical satellite systems, wideband (both military and commercial) satellite ground terminals, International Marine/Maritime Satellite (INMARSAT)/Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) terminals, Iridium communication devices, modems, and cryptographic technology.

Responsibilities include managing transmission projects and offering project-related guidance to government personnel, which encompasses drafting and facilitating transmission strategies for various initiatives.

Additionally, the coordinator will assist in the assessment and management of AFCENT programs that support Air Force, Department of Defense, and commercial satellite bandwidth distribution.
A Bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent qualifications).
PMP or an equivalent certification may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Candidates should possess at least eight years of experience with the technical and analytical components related to the management, configuration, and operation of both fixed and tactical satellite communication equipment.

Familiarity with military satellite transmission planning tools and commercial satellite frequency allocation is preferred.
