Job Summary

The Director of Philanthropy will play a key role in advancing the mission of Blue Mountain Action Council by leading the organization's fundraising efforts and developing strategic partnerships. This position will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising plans, including individual giving, events, and grants. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in fundraising and will be able to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising plans to meet annual goals
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners
  • Oversee the development and implementation of events and campaigns to raise funds and awareness for the organization
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders to advance the organization's mission and goals
  • Manage and supervise a team of fundraising professionals to ensure successful execution of fundraising plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in fundraising, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Proven track record of success in fundraising, with a focus on individual giving, events, and grants
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and partnership-building
