Book Folds Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Folder Operator to join our production team at TSG - The Sheridan Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a folding machine to produce high-quality book sections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a folding machine to fold sheets of paper into various page sections
  • Inspect and maintain accurate data collections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep of machine and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment
  • Assist maintenance personnel with machine repair and ensure a safe working environment
  • Communicate effectively with oncoming shifts and assist with training new operators and employees
Requirements
  • Basic computer skills to work with Windows-type applications
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to stand and work for 8 hours with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and physical hazards of machinery

Work Environment
