Crisis Stabilization Unit LPN Job Description

Pathways Center's Care Campus offers two Crisis Stabilization Units, one for adults and one for children and adolescents. Our short-term, medically monitored crisis residential programs provide services for a limited duration to stabilize acute psychiatric or behavioral symptoms, evaluate treatment needs, and develop plans to meet the needs of individuals served.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our Crisis Stabilization Units. The successful candidate will assist the Registered Nurse in providing oversight for medications and coordinating medical services. Duties include:

  • Providing general nursing care to clients as needed
  • Assisting in managing the medication administration process, medication orders, and coordinating with the on-site pharmacist
  • Accurately and efficiently utilizing the company's electronic medication administration record (MAR) system
  • Providing nursing services in conjunction with the physician, physician assistant, and/or nurse practitioner
  • Measuring and recording client's vital signs
  • Observing clients, charting and reporting changes in client's conditions
  • Completing clear and concise required documentation for the patient's/client's chart
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A vocational/technical degree from an accredited college
  • A current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
