We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Cardiologist to join our team as Co-Director of the Heart Center at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Heart Center, collaborating with the Co-Director and multidisciplinary teams to advance innovative approaches to pediatric cardiac care. They will foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement within the Heart Center, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, quality of care, and the patient/family experience.
Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Heart Center
- Collaborate with the Co-Director and multidisciplinary teams to advance innovative approaches to pediatric cardiac care
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement within the Heart Center
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, quality of care, and the patient/family experience
- Mentor and support the professional development of faculty, staff, and trainees
- Support the recruitment and retention of top-tier faculty and trainees to promote academic advancement
- Work in partnership with the Heart Center Administrative Director and Heart Center Co-Director, Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Maintain a positive workplace culture that attracts, retains, and motivates staff, and empowers their ability to impact decision making
- Oversee clinical, research, educational, and quality activities for the Heart Center
- Provide clinical services for patients at St. Christopher's Hospital and other approved sites
- Actively participate in family-centered care

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated clinical excellence and leadership success in their career. They will uphold unwavering integrity and adherence to ethical standards, while also exhibiting strong administrative and managerial skills. A minimum of 10 years of post-pediatric residency and fellowship in Cardiology is required, along with an unrestricted medical license and American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board certification in pediatric cardiology.
