Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

This is a remote position that requires a unique blend of business and technical skills. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology resources, playing a critical role in the success of our systems-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and document business requirements, perform gap analysis, and build system/process diagrams of current and future states of supported systems.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and solutions in clear and concise ways, using different formats and tools, such as documents, diagrams, presentations, and reports.
  • Manage and perform configuration, testing of functionalities, issues/fixes, and enhancements in the system when it undergoes updates/patching.
  • Identify and document work-around solutions, log service requests/tickets with the software provider or for the technical team to improve efficiency and/or address issues/bugs identified.
  • Stay relevant and effective in an evolving business landscape, keeping abreast of the latest developments in technology and considering how they may be used to solve challenges in our department.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills to comprehend and collect business requirements from clients and stakeholders and to reconcile data between the source and target system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as listening and questioning skills, and the ability to adapt to different audiences and situations.
  • Advanced use of MS Excel (including pivots, vlookup, reference, advanced formula, and data merge for data analysis and reconciliations) and MS Word (including bookmarks and templates).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (SQL) and the ability to query databases and develop basic stored procedures.
  • Good problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal/team skills and negotiation skills.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Customer service mindset, professional courtesy, respect, and consistent positive communications to management, team members, vendors, and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Visual Basic for Application (VBA) for Office is preferred.
