Summit Medical Group, a leading healthcare organization in East Tennessee, is seeking a skilled Lab Processor/Phlebotomist to join their Family Medicine Center division.

This PRN time opportunity requires working half days, Monday through Wednesday, until noon. The ideal candidate will adhere to established policies and procedures, including OSHA and CLIA, and company protocols.

The successful candidate will perform phlebotomy for patients scheduled for laboratory tests in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. They will also process STATs promptly and deliver them to the technologist for testing as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include answering telephone requests in a professional manner, accurately routing specimens to the appropriate laboratory testing area, and completing testing issues and handling them appropriately.

The candidate will also scan in specimens and requisitions into the scanning systems, maintain a clean and organized work area, and actively participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.

Post-secondary studies in phlebotomy or clinical assisting are preferred, and one year of medical office/clinical experience with phlebotomy is also preferred.
