About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager/Director of Data Engineering and Analytics to spearhead data-driven decision-making and optimize processes across our organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing KPI reporting, collaborating with the engineering team, and ensuring a robust and scalable analytics infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analytics Roadmap Development: Develop and manage the analytics roadmap, oversee capacity planning, and document deliverable requirements.
  • Process Standardization: Establish standards for documenting requests and ensuring uniform metric definitions and reporting.
  • Data Engineering Collaboration: Work with Data Engineering to define and prioritize data needs and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Player-Coach Role: Conduct analysis while mentoring junior staff in data analysis and reporting.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Create and maintain dashboards and reports and provide actionable insights.
  • Data Interpretation and Presentation: Translate data findings into clear recommendations and ensure self-service capabilities for stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Identify trends, anomalies, and provide insights for deeper business understanding.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy through regular audits and validation checks.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in data analysis, preferably in eCommerce with 2+ years managing analytics functions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, LookerStudio, or similar tools; experience with statistics and Python is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
