Automation Systems Specialist

As an Automation Systems Specialist at Tesla, you will be responsible for designing and implementing equipment controls solutions for all cell manufacturing projects. This includes creating detailed electrical and fluid schematics in CAD, programming PLC controllers, and developing intuitive operator interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement control systems for complex manufacturing equipment
- Program and debug structured text and ladder logic code on multiple PLC controller platforms
- Create robust programs and sequences to control multi-station machinery
- Set up and tune servo drives and VFDs for fast and smooth operation
- Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, pneumatic and fluid plumbing
- Develop and maintain proper documentation of all electrical equipment and associated procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science or 5+ years' experience in Control Systems Design and PLC
- Implementation (Siemens, Omron preferred) or equivalent
- Human Machine Interface (HMI / GUI - Proface, WinCC, Ignition)
- Proficiency creating detailed electrical and fluid schematics in CAD (EPLAN preferred)
- Structured Text (IEC programming skill)
