Job Summary

The Central Texas VA Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Podiatrist to serve as the Urology Section Chief. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality urology care to our patients, while also providing administrative leadership and guidance to our medical staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide urology care to patients, including surgical procedures and clinical services
  • Perform administrative duties, including reviewing and triaging outpatient and inpatient consultations
  • Participate in ward/ICU rounds and other relevant activities to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Follow patients through the full continuum of care, including admissions, discharges, and post-operative care
  • Provide education to patients and family members on urology-related topics
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from an accredited institution
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice podiatry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States
  • Completion of residency training in podiatry or its equivalent
  • Board certification in urology or eligibility for board certification
  • Ability to provide medical opinions in medical specialties
  • Operative surgeon experience, including robot surgery
  • 3-5 years of medical facility leadership experience
