Job Summary

The Department of State Hospitals - Napa is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team in the Cognitive Rehabilitation Program. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients with severe mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and facilitate social cognition groups and computer-based cognitive rehabilitation programs
  • Provide daily contact with patients to support clinical progress and patient goals
  • Deliver basic level of general nursing, behavioral, and psychiatric nursing care to patients
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and appropriate healthcare delivery
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team
Requirements
  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
