Job Summary

The State of California is seeking a Psychiatric Technician Apprentice to join the Department of State Hospitals Napa (DSH-Napa) team. As a Psychiatric Technician Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care to California's most vulnerable population
  • Participate in the Psychiatric Technician Apprenticeship Program (PTAP)
  • Work under the supervision of experienced professionals
  • Develop skills and knowledge in psychiatric care and treatment
Requirements
  • Eligibility for enrollment in an accredited Psychiatric Technician Training Program (PTTP)
  • Graduation from high school within the United States or equivalency
  • Passage of required entrance examinations
