We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our renowned Transplant team at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced nurse to provide specialized care to post-transplant patients with a variety of conditions including kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will empower patients through comprehensive education and support, helping them navigate their transplant journey.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to post-transplant patients, addressing their complex needs and requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the transplant team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account each patient's unique circumstances and needs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate information exchange and promote smooth care transitions.

Requirements
  • A Baccalaureate degree in nursing or current participation in the UW Health Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the orientation.
  • Minimum six months' nursing experience or equivalent.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of WI or equivalent.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
