Job SummaryThe Registered Nursing (RN) position in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital requires a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Responsibilities- Perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
- Meet and maintain any requirements defined by specific specialty, including ACLS, PALS, and other certifications as required.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- VA license or multi-state license in good standing.
- ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
- Experience in Emergency Department a plus.
- 2 years of IMC experience.
