Job Title: Registered Nurse - IMC - Sentara Norfolk General Hospital

Job Summary:

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. This role requires a competent level of nursing care, demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The RN will possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Previous nursing experience in a hospital setting.
  • VA license or multi-state license in good standing.
  • ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
  • Experience in Emergency Department a plus.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 years of IMC experience.
