Moffatt & Nichol Engine is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Walnut Creek or Oakland, CA office. As a key member of our waterfront projects team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing waterfront structures, including marinas, ports, terminals, and vessel mooring and berthing structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform structural analysis and design of waterfront structures using timber, steel, concrete, and composite materials
- Develop plans, specifications, and calculations as needed
- Help resolve design problems through field investigation, inspections, and detailed design work
- Collaborate with other architects, engineers, scientists, and project managers on multi-discipline projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering
- Entry to 4 years of marine/waterfront structural design experience, preferably in seismically active regions
- Experience with structural modeling, nonlinear elements, and soil-structure interaction
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCad, SAP2000, and STAAD
- Competitive salary range: $36.90 to $45.10 per hour
