About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Coding Specialist to join our team at Swedish Health Services. As a key member of our Central Business Services, you will play a critical role in optimizing reimbursement and ensuring compliance with regulatory statutes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate review of provider claims to ensure optimal reimbursement and compliance with regulatory statutes.
  • Collaboration with the department to identify trends and educational opportunities for providers to ensure proper coding, documentation, and accuracy of billing.
  • Development and implementation of coding standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Analysis of coding data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancement.
Requirements
  • National Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) or equivalent certification.
  • 2 years of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding experience performing clinic and hospital-based inpatient and outpatient coding for professional billing.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent technical school completion of a certified coding program and 2 to 3 years related coding experience.
