Biomedical Equipment Technician II Job Description

At TriMedx, we are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical fields, such as electronics or biomedical engineering, and possess excellent computer skills, including the ability to administer systems, interpret error codes, and defragment hard drives. You will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to integrate information from various sources and communicate effectively with medical and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance of complex biomedical equipment
  • Serve as a technical advisor to medical and clinical staff on the safe operation and use of clinical equipment
  • Assist in developing specifications for the selection of new clinical equipment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military training
  • Technical certification (CBET) strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment
  • Valid driver's license required; variable travel requirements depending on primary site
  • Complex computer skills, including the ability to administer systems, interpret error codes, and defragment hard drives
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
