The Patient Appointment Coordinator plays a crucial role in assisting patients over the phone, managing appointment schedules, collecting accurate demographic and insurance details, and registering patients effectively.
Key Responsibilities

- Deliver patient-focused customer service
- Manage multi-line phone systems
- Coordinate patient appointments using our electronic scheduling platform
- Arrange appointments to align with patient needs while respecting provider schedules
- Handle appointment rescheduling and cancellations as necessary
- Confirm insurance eligibility
- Register patients, verify and update their information, and prepare necessary confirmation letters and welcome packets as assigned
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality

Education and Experience Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED is mandatory
- Experience in customer service is essential
Preferred Qualifications
- One to three years of experience as a Medical Scheduler
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and scheduling software

- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Work Authorization
