About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares for clinic visits by reviewing next day patients and completing next day preparation activities.
  • Maintains private physician office charts.
  • Checks-in patient upon arrival in the practice, verifying patient demographic data and presenting required forms for signature.
  • Collects and posts payments and balances on accounts, completing daily reconciliation of cash and appointment charges.
  • Schedules tests and procedures, utilizing centralized scheduling systems and software applications.
  • Communicates with patients and staff through multiple advanced communication tools, including phone call handling, emails, faxes, and online chats.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public, preferably in a healthcare-related field.
  • Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data entry/keyboarding.
