Job Summary:The Laboratory Supervisor Embryology will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Andrology and Endocrine lab, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and laboratory services. This role will involve managing laboratory staff, developing and implementing quality control procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage laboratory staff, including training, evaluating, and developing their skills
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory procedures and test results
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve technical issues and improve laboratory efficiency
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science
- NYS Department of Education Clinical Licensed Technologist (CLT) certification required within 3 years of employment
- General knowledge of operation of web-based QC platforms, electronic medical records, and document control platforms
- Rigorous QA and QC regarding handling of specimens and extreme care and caution in labeling and handling specimens
