Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Embryology Specialist to join our team at New Hope Fertility Center Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embryology and a passion for working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process gametes from patients for IVF and other assisted reproductive technologies.
  • Perform manipulation and testing of gametes to determine suitability for fertilization.
  • Prepare gametes and the environment for IVF and fertilization.
  • Use assisted reproductive technologies to help patients overcome infertility.
  • Preserve gametes and embryos for future use through cryopreservation.
  • Monitor embryo development and select embryos for transfer to recipient women.
  • Maintain Cryobanks and ensure compliance with quality control and regulatory standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in human reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technology.
  • Care for and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of patient care and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency call-outs for the laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological science (e.g. biology, biochemistry, genetics).
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing embryology techniques.
  • Excellent laboratory skills, ability to adapt to new technologies and techniques, and effective communication skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift, with weekend availability.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological science (Required).

Experience:

  • Embryology: 1 year (Preferred).
