Job Title: Aviation Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary:

Total Aerospace Services is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Quality Control Specialist to join our team. As an Aviation Quality Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in aircraft maintenance and inspection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough primary inspections of aircraft and aircraft components to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform receiving inspections to verify the quality of incoming materials and equipment.
  • Audit work packages to ensure that all assigned work has been properly completed and documented.
  • Perform continuity inspections to ensure that previously noted and subsequently repaired items have been properly completed and documented.
  • Write and document discrepancies and defects found during inspections.
  • Research and retrieve technical data as needed to support inspection activities.
  • Properly interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical data to ensure accurate inspection results.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and protocols at all times.
  • Take prudent actions to preserve company and customer assets.
  • Attend work-related training as scheduled.
  • Perform other tasks as reasonably assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • 1 of the following GenFams: MD-11, 787, 777.
  • 5 years' experience exercising the privileges of FAA A&P Certificate in large transport aircraft maintenance domain.
  • 20/25 near vision in at least one eye (corrected or uncorrected).
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's).
  • Have completed at least two 40-hour Aircraft General Familiarization training on 2 large transport aircraft.
  • Willing and able to work both shifts (1st and 2nd) and at least 50 hours a week.
