About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Pulmonary Clinic team at Billings Clinic. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the delivery of patient care and treatment, providing clerical and administrative support as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, and other departmental personnel to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for examinations and procedures, adhering to Billings Clinic's exam and procedure room cleaning guidelines.
  • Assist with patient scheduling, registration, and collection of co-pays, as well as screen incoming telephone calls for referrals to nurses, physicians, and APPs.
  • Order and maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment, and maintain patient files, records, and other information, adhering to confidentiality requirements.
  • Compile statistical data for reports, attend required meetings, and participate in committees as requested.
  • Provide instruction to patients as directed by physicians, APPs, or as documented in department policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department and organization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Six months of related work experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Successful completion of department orientation, skills competencies specific to the department, and completion of 54 LMS modules within six months of hire.
  • Required to obtain certification or registration within 15 months of hire through organizations approved by Billings Clinic.
